Heat and frost insulators install and maintain insulation on pipes, ductwork, tanks, and other mechanical systems to control temperature, improve energy efficiency, and protect equipment. They help keep hot systems hot and cold systems cold while also preventing condensation, reducing energy loss, and protecting workers from extreme temperatures.

Math, spatial and mechanical ability, hand/eye coordination, physical stamina, fast-paced thinking and reacting, problem solving, comfortable with heights, blueprint reading, detail-oriented

How to Apply
The applicant must contact and apply with listed signatory union contractors until the applicant finds a contractor willing to take them on as an insulator apprentice. The signed Sponsor Letter, passing ACT/Accuplacer scores, required paperwork, and all necessary personal documents must be submitted to the training facility in order to begin the apprenticeship program.
