Sheet Metal Workers

Sheet metal workers take pride in creating, installing and repairing sheet metal products such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) ducts, roofs, siding and gutters. They also work with industrial and architectural sheet metal, and bend, cut, weld and attach pieces of metal to create a finished product.

  • Arithmetic Requirements: ACT 16 or Accuplacer 250

  • Reading Requirements: ACT 15 or Accuplacer 244

How to Apply

After completing the application process and submitting passing ACT/Accuplacer test scores, applicants will be scheduled to attend a Pre-Employment Training at the Sheet Metal training facility. Upon completion of the Pre­-Employment Training, the applicant will receive a Letter of Introduction and a list of affiliated union contractors. It is then the applicant’s responsibility to secure a contractor willing to take them on as a sheet metal apprentice.
