How to Apply
After the application has been completed, either in-person or online, and all of the above requirements have been satisfied, the applicant will receive a sponsorship letter to take the Accuplacer Testing at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), or WRTP/Big Step. Once all of the tests have been passed, the applicant will be notified by mail to appear before The Milwaukee Area Sprinkler Fitting Joint Apprenticeship Committee for an interview. The interview score is combined with the test scores and this total score determines where the applicant is placed on the waiting list. As contractors submit requests for apprentices, applicants are pulled from the top of the list. The applicant is required to pass a drug-screening test upon entry into the program.
